About Us

Worship with us Sunday mornings at 10:00am

Hebron Presbyterian Church has been a worshiping community since 1843. We still use the original sanctuary where we practice a classic style of worship, and we often have special music featuring various instruments by musicians from the Richmond area.

Our Presbyterian roots keep us grounded in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as we proclaim the saving grace of Jesus Christ to our community and beyond. We also have a strong missional emphasis, responding with hands-on service and giving 10% of our income to ministries outside the church locally, nationally, and internationally.

We invite you to peruse our website, enjoy its content and visit us on a Sunday morning at 10:00 am.

Our Mission

Hebron Presbyterian Church seeks to be a spiritual home committed to living the Gospel of Jesus Christ through loving outreach, generous service, and intentional fellowship.

Our Vision

The Vision of Hebron Presbyterian Church is to be a beacon of God’s Kingdom, united by the Holy Spirit, reflecting the love of God, and renewing our community with the message of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

Hebron Presbyterian Church embraces the Biblical and Historic Christian faith
as expressed in the God-breathed Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments,
and as summarized in the Nicene and Apostles’ Creed.

Additionally, as a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we articulate our shared faith through the Reformed Tradition. Our theological tradition is summarized in A Brief Statement of Faith.

Core Values

Christ-at-the-Center – “He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He might come to have first place in everything” (Col. 1:18). We have been called together by the grace of God in the crucified, risen, and ascended Jesus Christ, confessing Him as the only Savior and Lord. As such, we are committed to keeping Christ, as revealed in the Scriptures, as the center of our worship, fellowship, service, and daily living.

Gospel Welcome – “Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God” (Rom. 15:7). The essence of the Gospel message is the welcome of God for fallen sinners made possible in Jesus’ death and resurrection. Called to reflect God’s welcome to others, we seek to create an inviting church atmosphere where everyone, no matter their background or life circumstance, feels at home.

Authentic Community – “…walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” (Eph. 4:1-3). We bear witness to the power of the Gospel to reconcile us both to God and neighbor by seeking to love one another across generational, cultural, and convictional lines. We are committed to cultivating a life together in Christ such that no one is left behind.

Faithful Stewardship – “Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received” (1 Pet. 4:10). God gives to us in abundance and calls each of us, in turn, to give sacrificially according to our ability for the building up of God’s Kingdom. We are committed to faithfully using our time, talents, and resources for the welfare of others and the glory of God.

Steadfast Integrity – “…we are setting our minds on what is right not only before the Lord but also before the people” (2 Cor. 8:21). Followers of Jesus Christ are called to a love of Gospel truth lived out in consistent ways. As a community of faith, we seek to align our decisions, actions, and processes with our Christian convictions and for the common good. We are committed to always doing the right thing according to our faith and values, even when no one is looking.
